Fineron 10mg Tablet contains Finerenone, a non-steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist. It is prescribed for managing chronic kidney disease (stages 3 and 4) with abnormal levels of albumin (a type of protein) in the urine, associated with type 2 diabetes in adults.
Finerenone blocks the action of certain hormones that can damage the kidneys and heart.
- Take the tablet as directed by your physician.
- Swallow with a glass of water; do not crush or chew.
- Can be taken with or without food.
- Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice while on this medication.
- Inform your doctor if you have high blood potassium levels.
- Do not use if allergic to Finerenone or if you have Addison’s disease.
- Not recommended for pregnant women unless necessary. Use reliable contraception to prevent pregnancy.
- Avoid use during breastfeeding as it may affect the infant.
- Avoid combining with certain antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral agents, potassium supplements, antidepressants, and blood pressure medications.
